Lorenzo has a wide knowledge of Data Protection & Privacy, TMT & Cyber Security matters. He has been assisting major Italian and foreign industrial groups and organizations in relation to issues regarding the processing and international transfer of data, privacy impact assessment, biometrics, Big Data, data management governance. In particular, he also advised on the appointment of Data Protection Officers, e-health, e-government, blockchain and other distributed ledger technologies, marketing and retargeting campaigns, credit information systems, prize draws, data enrichment activities, right to be forgotten procedures, forensic investigations, and HR-related data management. Lorenzo also gained a comprehensive experience in the TMT, corporate and commercial fields, providing assistance to corporations, bodies and organizations operating in any market segment. For instance: banking, healthcare, insurance, digital, manufacturing, retail, corporate and ethics issues, ordinary and extraordinary transactions, development of innovative business strategies and restructuring plans. Associate of Panetta & Associati since then became Counsel in 2018 and Partner in 2019. In 2009, Lorenzo was a member of the Legal Department of the Italian Commission for UNESCO. He is legal advisor of various research projects funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 framework. He authored several publications regarding Data Protection, Digital Law and Telecommunications on specialized domestic and international journals and websites, such as: Data Guidance, Privacy Law and Business, E-Commerce Law & Policy, Data Protection Law and Policy. He is often speaker at conferences and training courses on Privacy & Data Protection, TMT and new technologies (e.g. Smart Contracts, Distributed Ledger Technologies, Multiparty Computation).
