“Finally, thanks to the European Union, AI is entering a new dimension. AI needs strong regulation to avoid irreversible damage to our societies and to develop in a positive way,” says Rocco Panetta, a lawyer and expert in privacy and digital issues. “Europe is showing very strong in this field and, as with the Gdpr, could show the way to the rest of the world,” he adds.
