Our Managing partner Rocco Panetta e our partner Lorenzo Cristofaro have been mentioned in two recent European studies on the state of implementation of blockchain in Europe and its debated relationship with data protection law.
Such honor derives from our engagement as legal advisor in the EU project MHMD which has set the goal, inter alia, to develop an IT platform for secure sharing of health data among researchers and other stakeholders within the EU, by leveraging also on blockchain technology and smart contract.
Please find the report from the European Commission (“Blockchain now and tomorrow. Assessing multidimensional impacts of distributed ledger technologies”) here and the one from the European Parliament (“Blockchain and the General Data Protection Regulation. Can distributed ledgers be squared with European data protection Law?”) here.
