Rocco Panetta has been interviewed by Cor.Com, online newspaper on digital economy and innovation, about the need for institutions to make a step forward in view of the applicability of the GDPR (May, 25 2018).
The interview underlines that there are still too many ambiguities residing on the figure of the DPO and on the ‘one-stop shop’ mechanism. Among others, the future role of national DPAs is questioned with regard to the ability of enforcement of new sanctions.
