The International Association of Privacy Professionals – IAPP recently published the White Paper – 2020 Global Legislative Predictions, a document on developments of privacy and data protection regulation in 2020.
The report provides a State-by-State framework of what to expect from the several national regulators concerning data protection and privacy legislation, artificial intelligence, blockchain and facial recognition.
Our Managing partner Rocco Panetta outlined the future of Italian legislation. He described a trend of growing attention to data protection and he also invited to consider ethics assessments in the forthcoming discussions: “I predict 2020 will be a year of massive enforcement and privacy pros should be prepared” he concluded.
