Article 29 Working Party publishes new and revised version of its data protection impact assessment guidelines

Article 29 Working Party adopted new revised version of its important Guidelines on DPIA (link).

On October 4th, 2017, the Article 29 Working Party (WP29) has adopted a new and revised version of its Guidelines on Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) and determining whether processing is “likely to result in a high risk” for the purposes of Regulation 2016/679 (so-called General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR).

The Guidelines are very important because they provide clear, precise and neat indications on the discipline relevant to the DPIA, as set forth under article 35 of the GDPR.
